Fry the fish in the frying pan

At Carpmas Time

A Cake, a pie, or a fruity flan

And at our tabe of plenty,

We can spread a smile of joy

Throw your arms around the world

Everyone’s here

Here for our drink and food

All of us in a terrific mood

There’s a salad made of potato

and a platter fulla fish

A future of health and happiness

Is this years Carpmas wish

And the Carpmas wine is opened

The one who makes this edible is praised

Oh, we all must eat this stupid fish

And try to follow me one this one: American Jerry, writes a Japanese Haiku in Swedish, for his Canadian friend Charmaine, so that she may better enjoy her imaginary holiday based loosely on a Czech custom. He also provided the photo of the gummy-fish used in this post, which meant an unexpected and hurried trip to the candy store. Thanks Jer! And Happy Carpmas!

Translation: Christmas fish like jelly/ No, I do not want lutfisk/ but Swedish fish (the candy)
