Carpmas Haikus 2007

When I first “invented” Carpmas, I sent an email to many of my friends asking them to write haikus with either “Carp” or “Carp & Christmas” as the theme. I was thrilled with the response.

I emailed the collection back to the contributing poet-friends. Pal Meaghan liked the list so much she sent it along to her mother, a writer, living in our hometown of Creston BC. Meaghan’s Mommy then emailed the collection on to her friend who was an Elementary School teacher who used them to teach her grade six poetry unit that year.

Who knows… she may use it still.
