Carpmas10: CarpCaboodle

Wednesday, December 20th, 2017

Typically a day where others contribute to the project but my plans to include others flopped this year.

And Colleen, who drew this today…I believe this to be a festive potato + fish. Perfection.

CarpCaboodle

Thursday, December 20th, 2012

I’m always flattered when readers send me things... at other times of the year… that make them think of Carpmas.

Here is a photo sent by Susan. She and her family were vacationing in Salzberg when they happened upon a carp pond. Cameras were pulled and the experience was documented just for me:

Here is an info-graphic discovered last month that outlines Holiday meals around the world. Browse and note the number of times carp graces the plates of Yuletide feasters.

See. I didn’t lie to you:

Unexpected Gift

My friend and former colleague Michelle surprised me with a special Carpmas gift. A gift was completely unnecessary… but incredibly thoughtful of her. Thanks for thinking of me Michelle, and for remembering Carpmas.

Here is (bad) video of my opening the gift:

Unexpected Photographs

Photo submissions of fancy koi environmental decor (in Chinatown I think) from friend Meaghan:

Came to me vertical - I prefer it this way

Life risked - stopped in the middle of the intersection - All for Carpmas!

Unexpected Cookies
