In the Czech Republic, Christmas is celebrated on 24 December. The traditional Christmas meal is fried carp and potato salad. Several days beforehand, fishmongers with tanks of live carp appear on every street corner, and everyone goes to get their Christmas carp. Some people have them killed, cleaned and prepared right away. Others choose to take them home live, and let them swim in the bath until it’s time for Christmas dinner.

Every day can be like Christmas if you make it so.

Carpe diem!

Provided just incase it is needed

Provided just incase it is needed. Print, cut out, and use appropriately.

December can be a crazy month. Anytime you find yourself overwhelmed, lonely, fed up and frustrated – just think about the carp and what it means.

(what it means… but not necessarily what it tastes like)

Also provided is a link to a wiki entry on Christmas Dinner for those who think I’m making all of this stuff up.

(Charmaine? Make stuff up? Never!)
